Jade is a metamorphic rocks that forms under the extreme heat and pressure of Earth’s geological processes.  The various colors of jade occur when trace minerals are present as the rock forms, as well as how quickly the rock cools.  Presence of chromium will create green, manganese will cause the jade to be lavender, iron oxide causes orange coloring.
